East African Portland cement is sold under the brand name Blue Triangle. It conforms to the Kenya Bureau of Standards KS1725:Part1: 2001, equivalent to EN196.
Blue Triangle is widely used for all cementing, mortar and concrete building applications. We also produce custom-made cement products for use in construction.
Commonly known as Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), this product is available in 50-kg bags or tankers (40 tonnes).
Depending on the strength required, OPC is used for the following applications:
- Pre-cast concrete items, such as paving blocks, tiles, building blocks, etc.
- Pre-stressed concrete components.
- Runways, concrete roads, bridges etc.
- General civil engineering construction work.
- Asbestos products, such as sheets and pipes.
- Non-structural works, such as plastering, flooring etc.
Commonly known as Portland Pozzolanic Cement (PPC), this product is available in 50-kg bags, 25-kg bags, tankers (40 tonnes).
The PPC is ideally suited for the following:
- Hydraulic structures.
- Mass concreting works.
- Marine structures.
- Masonry mortars and plastering under aggressive conditions.
Our Concrete pavers are used in the construction of roads, walkways, parking areas, petrol stations and go-down floors.
They are available in two types:
- 80mm Heavy Duty
- 55mm & 60 m Light Duty
- Building blocks. There are two types of blocks namely; hollow blocks and solid blocks. Both categories are used in normal construction of houses, fencing walls etc. Hollow blocks are also used in construction of swimming pools and water tanks.
We produce custom-made Kerbstones for use as stopping edges in construction.
Pre-made cement slabs are ideal for walkways, external floors. They also protect walls from rain water.
Solid cement fence posts are ideal for reliable and strong security.
We also produce a range of cement tiles, culverts, panels and tubes.
