
SOFAPAKA SEE TRIANGLES!!
Sofapaka football club and East African Portland Cement held a road show aroundAthi RiverNairobi on Thursday 18 February 2010. Fans got a chance to meet their favorite players and members of the technical bench. The road show which was flagged off at the Head office of East African Portland Cement in Athi River comprised of the team and a section of the Company’s Sales and Marketing staff.
The Team’s President, Mr. Elly Kalekwa said that the Sponsporship Logo had been placed on the right breast as this was where the hearts of the players were. This displays our dedication and heartfelt commitment to honor our Sponsor by soaring to even greater heights and maintaining our Championship status. Mr. Kalekwa continued to say that had it not been for the intervention of Blue Triangle Cement, their fortunes would not have turned out so bright and expressed his thanks to the Management and Staff of the East African Portland Cement Company for making them feel at home.
SOFAPAKA which is an acronym states: Sote [kama] Familia [kwa] Pamoja Kuafikia Azimio is synonymous with the team’s and indeed EAPCC’s vision/ mission which calls upon them to be the utmost best.

Speaking before the start of the road show at the EAPCC grounds in Athi River the Head of Financial Management, Kephar Tande said “we as an Organization are proud to be associated with Sofapaka and to have them flying the Blue Triangle flag high in Kenyan Soccer is a great achievement for us”. “ We look forward to seeing them soar to even greater heights this season”.

The team passed through Mlolongo, Donholm, Umoja, Outering, Buruburu, Jericho, Uhuru Jerusalem, Jogoo Road, Ngara, Westlands, Kangemi, Kawangware, Dagoretti and Langata
During the roadshow SofaPaka fans and Blue Triangle customers were awarded free Sofapaka and Blue Triangle calendars, caps and jerseys in a bid to increase popularity of the two TITANS in the local scene.

The road show ended at the Bomas of Kenya where a ceremony was held to reward the best performing players of the 2009 season.
