Customers
Delivering quality and value to our customers has always been top on the list of East African Portland Cement Company’s priority objectives. The pricing strategy for our products, mainly the Blue Triangle Cement, is driven by customer needs, wants and financial capabilities.
As we seek to broaden our market share and sustain brand equity, we have customised our processes and systems to ensure our value chain remains ethical, proactive and competitive.

We regard ourselves as a learning organisation, as we invest in the capacity to gather, interpret and act upon strategic information in order to create innovative new sources of customer value.
Customer satisfaction and social responsibility are key planks in our corporate strategy.

Employeers
East African Portland Cement Company recognises the fundamental role employees play in driving our business strategy. We are committed to protecting and enhancing their health and welfare.
We have provided an environment in which they can work safely and productively. Discrimination, whether motivated by tribe, gender, skin colour, religion, creed or otherwise, is unheard of in our company. Human dignity is the bedrock of our employee relations code.

Our administration style is based on the principles of performance management. Our managers are equipped with people skills and emotional intelligence. Employees are well versed with their individual roles in the company’s effort to achieve its strategic goals.
As a way of tapping into the full potential of our staff, excellence is matched with rewards, while weakness is redressed through continuous training and on-the-job coaching.
Job satisfaction is the hallmark of our performance excellence.

Suppliers
Suppliers form a crucial component of our customer portfolio. We maintain a mutually-beneficial relationship with them in our bid to enhance value for our customers. Our production processes, sales and distribution channels remain efficient and profitable due to the rich relationship that exists between us and our suppliers.
Procurement procedures are strictly guided by the Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2005, and the Public Procurement and Disposal Regulations, 2006. This ensures honesty, integrity and fairness through competitive bidding.

Local Communities
We are committed to being a model corporate citizen through our Corporate Social Responsibility policy. We have put in place environmental conservation guidelines to guard against any adverse impact of our operations on the environment.
Besides, we have a budget for community projects through which we uplift the welfare of communities that live around our areas of operation. We actively contribute to any projects that enhance cordial co-existence with communities, customers and business partners. Such projects cover areas such as the environment, water, health, education and sporting.

Global Communities
We uphold conventional ethical standards and embrace the dictates of social responsibility. We respect the cultures and business customs of the various countries of operation in the region. Our business practices take into account the socio-political and economic priorities of each country. We also observe environmental conservation requirements, as well as health and safety standards.
