MAVOKO MUNICIPALITY CSR COMMITTEE MEETING
EAPCC organized for the first ever Mavoko Municipality CSR Committee Meeting on Monday 4th May 2009. The meeting which comprised of leaders of the Business Community operating in Mavoko sought to develop a steering committee for CSR in the Municipality.
The EAPCC Chairman, Mark ole Karbolo and Managing Director, Eng. John Nyambok were both present for the historic meeting. The meeting aimed at selection of a committee which would develop a unified CSR foundation or trust that would lead to massive development boosts for the Municipality on a continuous basis as each project sponsored by the Foundation or Trust would be fully participatory, involving the Mavoko community, from identification of needs and inception to full delivery.
Also present at the function was Hon. Wavinya Ndeti, M.P Kathiani and Asst. Minister Youth Affairs and Sports. She called upon the Companies to unite in the development of the Municipality. She said "success in Mavoko will only be achieved by active partnership between Business Organizations, Government and the Local community". She recognized EAPCC for its steadfast commitment to CSR and thanked the Company for convening this all important meeting.
